The Glanmire Division in Cork is now well established. With a long and established history in Ireland Cork and now Glanmire, St. John Ambulance is always looking out for enthusiastic and willing volunteers to join up and train. The St. John Ambulance Bridage is a leading organisation in the provision of First Aid and training throughout the country. It provides medical cover for many major events such as concerts, rugby, racing and other major public gatherings. Our members carry out their work on a voluntary basis, to help people in their time of need. With the help and support of Glanmire Community School, St John Ambulance Glanmire intends to hold an open day on the 12th of May 2013 from 11:00am until 16:00pm. We invite members of the public from 11 years upwards to this open day, where they can learn skills such as Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and other key skills. You will learn about all activities of St. John Ambulance, and how we work within the community. Divisional work involve providing a first aid service in the Glanmire community and surrounding areas, and covering local and large events in the Cork area. The running of regular first aid courses in the community will also be a huge advantage to the population in the North East of Cork City.
